Hi my name is Ollie and just last week we had Market day. Its one of the best day of the year apart from school holidays. We had been planning our product dreamy dumplings for about 2 weeks and on the morning we made them and baked them. first we made the dumplings with flour, butter, milk, and sugar I think. Then we put chocolate chips and glazed it in this golden syrup glazed it tasted nice. Then we baked them in the oven in the teachers lounge which took about thirty minutes then we got them out and they looked like scones we thought it was going to be so bad but… it was actually really good our first customer was a old man. he bought to and gave us ten dollars and he didn’t even want his change. I went off to go look at other stalls there was sherbet and so much more. In the end I had the best market day ever. How was yours?

Hi my name is Ollie and yesterday we learnt how to help people when they get hurt. the first one we learnt was  D which stands for dangers, R stands for response, S stands for send for help, A stands for airways, B stands for breathe, C stands for CPR. the next one Rice is for if you’ve sprained something. R is Rest, I is ice, C is compression, E is elevate. Then we had fast which is when someone has a stroke. F stands for face, A is arm, S is speech, T is time. have you learnt about it?

Hi my name is Ollie and we have been learning how to use scratch. It was like my second time using scratch so I know a little at first I was listening to some instructions but then I got a little lost so I just tried to make something up. I made another sprite which is like the charter because I was making the scratch charter have a race with a bear. It didn’t turn out so good but I was still happy with it. I didn’t understand it a first but once I progressed forward I started to understand. I tried all the backgrounds and charters but the bear and the original scratch charter fit the best. Have you ever used scratch?

My name is Ollie and we have been reading a book called Freak the mighty. The main charters in the book is this boy name Max he is not that smart but very tall, the other kids name is Kevin/Freak he is a very intelligent kid but hes very small and need crutches to move around. they knew each other in preschool until Kevin left a few years past and Kevin came back and saw max in the backyard and said die earthling max was confused why he called him earthling because were all earthlings aren’t we?  That’s all I got up to do you think that you would want to read this book?

Can you make fake snow? That’s what we got asked on Monday. The ingredients we used were conditioner, Baking soda, a bowl, and a fork to mix it all together. Because we where doing a science experiment using states of matter like liquid and solids. My hypothesis which is a fancy word for guessing what’s going to happen was that the fake snow was going make a chemical reaction that will bubble and make snow that didn’t happen. we went around trying to collect some of other group’s snow to make ours better that didn’t work as well. But when we got some special stuff and then it worked I don’t know what that special thing was but it helped. In conlusion witch is another fancy word for result my hypothesis wasn’t what happened but it was close and in the end we were able to make fake snow. Do you think you are able to as well?

My name is Ollie and today I will be telling you about my cross country zones. So we had cross country zones at our school I came 6th I just made it into zones. The day came to go to zones I was so nervous But I pulled through I stayed with my good friend Te Ariki He encouraged me all the way It came down to the last stretch and Te Ariki said I should run so I did and I came somewhere around the 20 mark. It was really nice to finish with my friend and go there with my friends.

My name is Ollie and this week we have been learning about famous New Zealanders. My famous New Zealander was Jonah Lomu, We learnt about them and what they did to become famous. Then we put it on a goggle doc here’s mine.

Jonah Lomu

Jonah Lomu is a famous New Zealander. He played for the All Black’s sevens and fifteens for New Zealand. Jonah was named the youngest person to play for the All blacks in 1994 when he played against France at the age of 19. When he played he was the winger for most of his time he also played number eight sometimes. Did you know that Jonah broke the record for the most tires scored in a world cup? That’s why I think Jonah Lomu is the best All black ever.

Jonah Lomu was born on the 12th May 1975 in Auckland. When he was growing up he was exposed to a lot of gang violence. The primary school he went to was Favona primary school. His mother Hepi Lomu sent him to Wesley College where he excelled in sports.    

Jonah Lomu has always loved rugby. Jonah played rugby when he was in school like primary school. When he started taking rugby seriously was when it was his last year of college. Jonah played league for some time then switched to rugby. He played for New Zealand fifteens and sevens. I think Jonah is one of the best rugby players of all time.

Eventually Jonah Lomu achieved his biggest accomplishment. There are a few so I’ll say them all. In 1999 Jonah had broken a record for eight tries scored in one World Cup. He had also broken a record for youngest test player to play for the all blacks in 1994. Jonah Lomu also broke the record for most tries scored in a career tournament.

In conclusion Jonah Lomu retired. Jonah Lomu has been one of the best rugby players of all time. Jonah Lomu retired and married Fiona Lomu and had two kids their names are Bradley and Dyerellie. I think Jonah Lomu was one of the most successful rugby players of all time. I think I did really good, What about you?

Hi My name is Ollie we have been working on pukeko’s. Like some pretty cool facts, That pukeko can’t fly until its air born that’s pretty cool. We have done some painting involving sketching and some drawing, We drew harakeke/flax some rock for the bottom of a pond we drew a pukeko’s. Then we put it all together and mine looked like this Do you like it?

My name is Ollie and I am a year 6 now I haven’t done one of these in a year and I don’t really find these fun but I guess I have to do it anyway. I stayed in my old class Kupenga 1 we have been doing art about pukeko’s and some research about them to.   We have done swimming sports I won but I didn’t want to go to zone’s. 2024 was pretty crazy with heaps of competive  sport like cross country and athletics but the start of this year hasn’t been so much of a rollercoaster. But im looking forward to the rest of the year are you?
